Course Overview

This Nail Extensions Course will teach you the three different overlays available - acrylic, gel and fibreglass. This course will take you through the extension procedure, blending techniques and maintenance procedure, including aftercare advice and customer consultation and study the techniques of creative nail art. There are different nail art techniques and using some of the most popular techniques; dotting, striping, freehand designs, gems, glitter and marbling - students will develop new skills. This course also includes electric filing for artificial nails will teach you the safe use of an electric filing machine. Electric nail filing now the modern way to do artificial nails to add overall professionalism of your service, reduce the time for filing and ease the overall procedure. The course is suitable for both the inexperienced and the experienced nail technician who wishes to improve or learn electric filing techniques.

If applicants do not already hold a Level 2 unit in Health & Safety this must be completed ( £15.00 additional fee)

Additional Information

On successful completion of the nail extension course current practitioners can offer this treatment to clients, either from the comfort of your own home or working in a commercial Beauty/ Nail bar or as a self-employed nail technician. The course is also open to those with an interest in beauty therapy who wish to learn new skills. Material fee of £125 also required to cover cost of essential nail extension kit. A uniform (£30) must also be purchased.
