Course Overview

This OCN NI qualification enables learners to develop their knowledge and understanding in the areas of business administration including the use of information technology.Learners can progress to other Level 3 vocational qualifications, advance to the OCN Level 3 full-time Diploma in Administration or directly into employment within the business administration and related sectors. Students who undertake this course and who hold a higher-level qualification on entry could progress onto the OCN Level 4 in Administration.

Entry Requirements

UK Requirements

Minimum 4 GCSE’s including GCSE English or equivalent, and knowledge of ICT in particular Microsoft Word. OR GCSE English or equivalent, good level of ICT (particularly use of Microsoft Word) and have worked minimum one year in a business environment and undertaken administrative duties such as answering phone, customer service, dealing with paperwork, operating computer, etc.

Additional Information

Depending on the route taken. Units may include: business legislation, written and verbal business correspondence; teamwork; business travel and accommodation; and using office equipment. Students can also avail of Sage, social media and Word Processing modules, which are available on other days in the College, but please note these will be at an additional cost.
