Course Overview

This course provides the ideal introduction to the construction industry and preparation for employment... Students take part in "real life" Project Based Learning opportunities in addition to attending a work placement.. Essential Skills in English and Maths is an integral part of the programme. All students must undertake work placement as part of the programme. The placement model will see students attending college three days per week and placement two days per week during academic year, then during summer students attend placement five days per week. Students will focus on construction trades however depending on student needs timetabling of other vocational trade areas are possible. .

What's Next?

Further Study

Students on completion of the L1 in Construction and the required level of Essential Skills can progress to employment, L2 Traineeship or AppNI Level 2.
