Course Overview

The new C&G Diploma in dental nursing is delivered in our state of the art clinical dental suite. It is taught exclusively by professionals from the dental industry.You will address topics such as: • Emergency first aid • Preparing and maintaining environments, instruments, and equipment for clinical dental procedures • Providing chair side support to patients for a number of procedures • Management of oral health diseases. You will learn on the job in the work environment. Some assessment will take place in the workplace andyou will build a portfolio of evidence to meet the competence units in the qualification. There is one synopic online knowledge test at the end of the course.

Entry Requirements

UK Requirements

Students must either be already working as a dental nurse or attend work placement for a minimum of 16 hours per week.

Additional Information

This is a 2 year course and enrolment fees are paid in both years. Exam fees are also payable in Year 1 and for any resits necessary.The qualification has full support from both the GDC and Skills for Health. If you are working 21 hours per week as a trainee dental nurse please contact the coordinator for further information before enrolling.
