Course Overview

The OCN NI Level 2 Further Study Skills qualification is for learners wishing to acquire knowledge and skills to prepare them for progression to study at higher levels. This qualification provides opportunities for learners to study in some of the following areas: Employability and Study Skills, Effective Time Management Skills, Introduction to Psychology and Sociology, Planning and Managing own Education. In addition, Students will be offered Essential Skills Communication, Application of number and IT as additional timetabled classes which will be beneficial to their educational progression.

UK Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements, however, applicants should normally have been away from full time education for at least one year.

The purpose of this course is to provide applicants with skills that are required for the Level 3 University Access course or for progression to Level 2 and Level 3 courses within the College. In addition, it will support you in upgrading your skills, Improving your job prospects, gain you a qualification, allow you to decide your next move, enjoy learning and have the opportunity to get expert career advice and guidance.
