Course Overview

This course covers specialist makeup procedures such as; media makeup & special effects, Create & Cast small prosthetic pieces & Bald Caps, Face & Body Art and Airbrush Makeup, creating a wide range of specialist creative makeup looks. Participation in live photoshoots and events is included to develop the skills required to work as a specialist media make-up artist. It is suitable for those working in the beauty industry, fashion industry and Performing Arts industries wishing to up-skill OR for those who simply have an interest in media and special effects make –up

Additional Information

On successful completion of this qualification you could progress directly into employment in a variety of contexts including specialist makeup/ beauty salons, TV/Film, Independent/self-employed/mobile/home based settings, work as a media makeup MUA. Students who do not hold a qualification in health & safety will be required to undertake a small unit in health and safety related to the area of study, Kit information and details will be given to all students prior to course commencement Makeup retail companies
