Course Overview

The qualification is aimed at learners 16 and above who have a desire to work in the Plumbing and Heating Industry and gain full time employment. This course will provide a range of skills and learning that participants can achieve which are directly related to the domestic Plumbing and Heating industry. The students will study a broad range of topic areas that are taught and assessed over the period of the course. Over the course the students must participate in course enriching work placement and as part of the traineeship also, students will undertake and develop transversal skills and the necessary Maths, English or ICT essential skills. The successful students from this course can progress into full time employment with the necessary pre-requites.

Entry Requirements

UK Requirements

4 GCSEs Grades D-G to include Maths and English Grade D or above.

ROI Requirements

4 OLCs (Grade O5-O8 or above) or equivalent to include Maths and English at Grade O5 or above.

Work Placement

Students will initially be provided with in college work placement which will prepare students for industrial placements if gained through the academic year.

What's Next?

Further Study

Transversal Skills, Maths-English- ICT Essential Skills. Stuednts can move to Apprenticeship from this course if they achieve the entry criteria. On successful completion of all aspects if suitable employment is gained entry to L3 is possible.
