Applicants must currently be working in a pharmacy environment for not less than 14 hours per week, having secured a placement as a pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician. They must have 4 GCSEs at Grades A*-C (or 9-4), including English Language, Mathematics and a Science, an acceptable reference for good character and an acceptable self-declaration for health.Additional Information
The course is delivered by a team of highly skilled and experienced Pharmacists who have played a central role in the design and the delivery of the programme. You will learn on the job in the work environment, as well as in College. The knowledge and skills competencies required for a Trainee Pharmacy Technician are embedded into this qualification, which is recognised by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). On completion of the qualification, graduates may register with the GPhC as a Pharmacy Technician. This allows students to progress directly into employment within the Pharmacy Sector. Alternatively, graduates may progress onto other higher-level qualifications within the College including the HNC in Applied Science.
