HLA Meet the Employer
NWRC will host an information event on Higher Level Apprenticeships (HLAs), at the Tower Foyer, Strand Road campus, Derry-Londonderry, on Wednesday, May 8, from 3 - 5 p.m.
This FREE event is open to the public but is of particular interest to graduates looking to upskill, students completing A-Levels, Access Courses, or other Level 3 qualifications, or local employers looking to hire the best of local talent.
HLAs are open to Post A-Level students, students who have undertaken Level 3 qualifications, and those currently in employment looking to upskill into a new role.
With a HLA qualification, you can jointly study and work in paid employment in your chosen profession. NWRC offers HLA courses in Accountancy, Business & Enterprise, Computing (Software Development), Leadership for Children’s care, Learning and Development, Hospitality, Tourism and Events Management, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Advanced Technician in Engineering – General Engineering, Advanced Technician in Engineering - Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Modern Construction with Renewables, and FinTech.
The courses are all funded by the Department for the Economy so students never have to worry about tuition fees. In fact, the HLA is a unique work-based programme that enables participants to earn while they learn, while gaining a recognised Level 5 qualification.
