Meet Robert Wylie – he’s just months away from becoming a fully qualified Management Accountant, and it all started at NWRC.
Robert says he always regretted leaving school early – so a return to education at NWRC was perfect for him.
He studied the Access Diploma in Combined Studies and then Accounting Technicians Ireland Level 4 and Level 5.
He said: “It was always a huge regret of mine how I had left school early. As I had children and worked full time, NWRC offered the flexibility I needed to study alongside other responsibilities.
“The tutors were incredibly helpful, in particular, Liz Earley, Liz Doherty and Annemarie Deehan.
"After completing my ATI course I was able to secure a finance role within a software company based in Derry.
"I also proceeded to study further with CIMA to gain a qualification as a Management Accountant, and I am due to complete this over the next few months.”You could change your direction like Robert. "
