Hola Chicos!!
Week 1 in Malaga completed.
We had a fantastic first week filled with loads of different fun activities.
We headed into the centre to watch the Christmas lights on our first evening there. This was an amazing experience, wouldn’t get that in Shipquay street!!
On our first full day, we had a walking tour of the city in the morning by our amazing tour guide Pedro and then attended some classes in El Camm in the evening which went really well. We got to watch how they play jazz, rock, and blues, some of us even got involved!!
Our second day we attended some more fun music theory-based classes in El Camm and started practicing for a jam session on the Wednesday night. It’s been amazing coming together to put songs together with our lecturers and fellow classmates.
On the Wednesday we rehearsed all morning for our jam session that night and then came into El Camm to have a flamenco class which was incredible, some of us got involved in the clapping and playing guitar and drums. We then had our jam session which was so much fun! We were welcomed by warm applause and lots of cheering.
Our Thursday involved vocal coaching and a gospel choir session, us singers were in our element…the production boys gave it their best shot.
Friday, we spent the morning in the flamenco museum learning from 2 professional flamenco musicians. Our very own Jason got up and sang a wee traditional song to show us off at the end!!
Saturday - we took a day tour to Seville!! It was beautiful. Some of us went into the Real Alcázar, the gardens are picture perfect as you can see and we even got to pick some oranges from trees!
We have been spending our downtime at the beach together or finding pool tables and trying lots of traditional Spanish tapas
Hope youse aren’t all too cold back home!! We are enjoying the sunshine
