Did you know that NWRC’s Head of Finance Aidan Mulcahy was a previous winner of the prestigious JP McManus Scholarship?
Aidan was awarded a JP McManus Scholarship following completion of his Leaving Certificate in 2004 at Coláiste Mhichíl, CBS Sexton Street, Limerick.
At the time, the scholarships were limited to the top 8 performing students at CBS Sexton Street (JP McManus’ alma mater), and the All Ireland Scholarships were subsequently introduced in 2008.
Aidan said: “The JP McManus Scholarship award has been enormously beneficial to me both personally and professionally. Personally, the scholarship enabled me to attend the University of Limerick to complete a BA in Law and Accounting and allowed me to concentrate on my studies without having to be concerned about finances. Professionally, having the JP McManus Scholarship on my CV has been extremely valuable, especially in interviews where his name alone has started conversations for me wherever I have worked – be it Derry, Dublin and even as far as Sydney, Australia.
