You’re invited - to our FREE Science Careers Showcase
NWRC will host a Science & Allied Professions Careers Showcase at Strand Road Campus on April 28 (Thursday) from 5.00-7.00pm.
Life and Health sciences has been identified as one of Northern Ireland’s priority skill areas, with demand for science graduates set to increase over the next 10 years. Come and explore what careers are on offer in Science. You will have a chance to hear from professionals (including past students) and representatives from local employers will be there to talk about their careers and the educational pathway they followed.
This event is free and open to all.
A second event will also run on April 28 (3.30 – 5 ) – Science for Grown Ups. This event is open to anyone aged over 18 considering returning to education, or anyone who wants to explore science as an alternative career pathway.
You don’t need any formal qualifications to attend. This event aims to provide a hands-on, fun, and practical science activities as a taster of what a career in science might be like. Have a chance to develop your skills in observing, measuring, recording, and discussing results from experiments in an enjoyable and interactive way – and experience what a day in the life of a science student would be!
