IDEATOR Awards 2025 - Applications Now Open!
Are you a current NWRC student or recent alumni? Do you have an exciting, novel or innovative business idea or a business that you have perhaps recently started?
Whether your idea is just in the brainstorming phase or your business is already up and running, the IDEATOR Awards are the perfect opportunity to be rewarded for your entrepreneurial thinking! The IDEATOR Awards are an initiative created and promoted by North West Regional College in collaboration with local stakeholders. The aim of the awards is to promote a culture of entrepreneurship both within NWRC and the wider north west region. The competition is open to current students and past graduates of NWRC.
Anyone who is a current or past student of NWRC and has a business idea is welcome to apply regardless of what stage they are at.

- £1,500 – Best Overall Business Idea (Sponsored by Go Succeed NI)
- £1,000 – Best Runner-Up for Overall Business Idea (Sponsored by NWRC)
- £500 – Green Award for Sustainable Business Idea (Sponsored by The Amp)
- £500 – Outreach Award for Business Community Engagement (Sponsored by Adepta Partners)
- £500 – Innovation Award for Most Original Business Idea (Sponsored by Alchemy Techs)
What happens next?
The NWRC IDEATOR Award winners will be selected and announced at a mini business pitching and celebration event which will take place on 6th March 2025 in NWRC Strand Road Campus. Following the event, all the finalists will be invited to take part in a bespoke workshop offered by Elaine Baxter of Boutique Innovation. During this workshop the finalists will gain expert knowledge in business innovation, product development and client relations.
